Absolutely agree with you, I've tried to get a quote for support from HPE several times over the past 6 months and just get absolutely nowhere. We've got a gen 9 Apollo chassis with 4 XL170R blades in which have a vulnerability. Disgusting that we have to pay for a contract to get this CVE fixed, but then we don't even get a quote as nobody comes back to me with any further information!

We were unable to find drivers for your product. Try manually selecting your operating system. If your operating system is not listed then HP may not provide driver support for your product with that operating system.
The HP USB Key Utility for Windows version 22.214.171.124 or later should be to put this SPP on a bootable USB key and is also found on the SPP ISO. Remember, to download the software you have to log in on the HP website and have a valid support agreement or serial number from a applicable device supported by this SPP.
As we are adding the Baseline from the SPP ISO, select Browse HP Sum server path for the Location Type. Under Location Details, Browse to the packages folder of your mounted ISO. Older SPP versions held the baseline in hp/swpackages folder.
The latest version of HP support pack was released recently, 2016.10.0 and we downloaded it to deploy it as usual, but Jorgen Brandelius at TrueSec could not resist the need of poking around on the media, and there is was, the hidden folder!!!
In the folder you will find the following structure, it is basically all drivers for Windows Server 2016 (and older supported OS as well) for all supported HP servers, it also includes agents for NANO server running on HP ProLiant.
The pack loads on my gen8.Also you can download component packages separately.Then when you create the bootable USB, you can copy the components into one of the folders, hp\swpackages I think, and then when you load it on your gen8, all the components you added also show up on the update list.
Also here is another site you can use for other gen systems as well -spp/As you can see the one bearcat lists is listed as the last one for Gen6 supportAnd the one fore Gen8 is the one I've linked, the Gen8.1Either will work, but again you can download and ass components to the USB drive you make.
