In the early 1990s, Boeing secretly developed a low-observable F-16C/D model designated the XF-16 to meet U.S. Air Force requirements for a stealthy fighter. The final design, with an inverted fuselage design and a radar absorbent coating, would have had a 2,000-lb/900 kg thrust-to-weight ratio, compared to the 1,500-lb/680 kg of the F-16C/D baseline F100 engine. Other features included an improved engine bleed air filter system and an improved APG-68 radar warning receiver, capable of detecting and warning of the radar warning signals of Russian radar systems.[132] The XF-16 project was cancelled on 1 January 1994. The Boeing F-16 design would have competed with the Dassault Rafale, F/A-18E/F, Eurofighter, F-35 Lightning II and the F-22 Raptor.[133]
In 1984, General Dynamics submitted a proposal to the U.S. Air Force to develop an improved version of the F-16, designated the F-16/A, to meet a new requirement for an aircraft that could perform air combat against Warsaw Pact designs. The design featured revised wings, with larger span and thickness, to improve low speed handling. The airframe was strengthened, retaining the existing hydraulic controls, and an upgraded engine was added. The General Dynamics project was terminated in late 1987 when the U.S. Air Force chose to develop the F-22 instead.[131] In 1992, General Dynamics again submitted the F-16/A proposal to the U.S. Air Force, again unsuccessfully.[131]
In the 1990s, KAI designed the KF-16 for export. Initially, the U.S. Navy was reported as the major potential customer for the KF-16, but no actual purchase was made before the KF-16 was selected as the Republic of Korea Air Force's (ROKAF) primary fighter.[97] The final sale of KF-16s to ROKAF made the fighter the most advanced fighter in the world for only the second time, after the MiG-29, as of March 2012.[134] The KF-16 was first displayed publicly in November 2000 at the Seoul Air Show.
Thailand signed a $660 million contract to purchase a total of 64 F-16s and the plane is expected to enter service in 2017, state-run Thai Rath reported on 17 July 2007.[131] The Royal Thai Air Force had originally intended to purchase F/A-18 Hornets, but switched to F-16s after it found out that US government halted the sale of Hornets.[131] Thailand intends to train pilots and maintainers at RAF Alconbury as part of the arrangement.[131]
Brewmaster technology is a redefined, one-pass, gas-fired boiler. Installed into a compact tankless water heater, this system requires virtually no stand-by time and it won't heat your home for more than five seconds—even if the system is idle.
Peerless boilers are a popular option for new home construction or home remodeling projects. They are typically high efficiency for the simplicity of use and maintenance. The water heater is an integral part of the unit.
Peerless is used simply to describe a high efficiency and low heat burn that is used to give heat to a pool or spa, a hot water system or a home. The two main pressurized water systems used are booster pumps and other electro-hydraulic control systems. 827ec27edc
